Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Yolo Frontloaders. We are an organization dedicated to re-creating and researching the time of the Mountain Man during the fur trade era in the late 18th century to the mid 19th century. We have regularly scheduled shoots where we compete with blackpowder firearms and other weapons of the era.

Based in Northern California in the Sacramento Valley, we have members from Sacramento, Woodland, Davis, Dixon, Winters, and other towns in the area. We are primarily based in Yolo County in Northern California - near Sacramento.

We meet on the 2nd tuesday of each month and have a club shoot on the 3rd sunday of each month and welcome any and all visitors to our meetings and shoots. The meetings are held at the homes of various members and the shoots are held at the Yolo Sportsmans Association near Davis in Yolo County.
